Notes:

The secular/evolutionary worldview attempts to find all of its truth wholly in the natural world. With this limitation present, evolution MUST be true, for how else did we get here otherwise? Science has now been defined not as “a search for truth”, but as “what is the best possible explanation within the bounds of naturalism.”
The Christian, on the other hand, understands that reality consists of not just the natural world, but also a supernatural world where the Godhead, Satan, good and fallen angels, and the souls of the departed exist (some creation scientists speculate that this is a fourth physical dimension in which our three-dimensional universe is located). In any case, with this understanding the Christian or creation scientist has a much broader spectrum from which to draw answers to the important questions. For “operational science” questions (how does something work) the answer will likely be the same for the secular or creation scientist and involve just natural explanations, but for “historical science” questions which require an interpretation of events in the past, the answer will frequently be much different. Some of these historical science questions include:
How did the universe arise?
How did our Solar System arise?
How did life arise?
How is the geological column (the fossil record) to be interpreted? (evolution or Noah’s flood)
How did human consciousness originate?
How did human language begin?
Were there cave men?
Did dinosaurs live at the same time as people?
