Our view of reality (nature is all there is versus an equally real supernatural world)
Our view of history
Our view of other people
Our view of our own importance in the grand scheme of things and whether or not we prepare for an afterlife
Society’s view of law
Most importantly, it affects our understanding of who is in control. If we believe that there is a personal God who is in control of all things and to which we are accountable, we will live our lives much differently than if we believe we have complete freedom over our actions and behaviors. Likewise, government and society will function differently, developing different laws and norms.
